Deck Sealing and Staining
Cobra Deck and Concrete offers pressure washing services for decks, fences and just about any other wood surface you have. Our last step is the most important: staining and sealing.
2 Steps to Deep Clean
Before selecting the correct stain and protective sealant, Cobra Deck and Concrete will give your deck a deep-down clean with our pre-soak foam. It will seep into the wood to loosen the deepest of dirt. Then, we use a gentle pressure washing setting to spray off the dirt and grime. With these two steps, we can ensure deep-down clean without harmful chemicals or high pressure water that could damage your deck or the surrounding landscape.
Step Three – Protect
After removing the ground-in dirt from your deck surface, Cobra Deck and Concrete can assist you in selecting the right sealant for your home. We can also use a solid wood stain as well before sealing. However, here are a couple things to consider with a solid stain:
- Solid stains look and act like paint. They’re great if you prefer to have a uniform color and look across the whole structure and if you don’t mind covering wood grain and knotting.
- Solid stains do show wear more quickly, especially in high traffic areas.
Semi-transparent stains can simply bring forth the grain of the wood while adding some deepening of the natural, brown or cedar color already present in the faded surface. We don’t recommend a clear sealant since the most harmful element to wood is UV rays. Our semi-transparent stains are great at blocking UV rays while allowing the beauty of the wood beneath to shine through. By adding this sealing, your deck will be fully protected from the elements for many more years to come. No matter which sealant you choose, we can guarantee your satisfaction.
